GROUNDS KEEPERS are responsible for maintaining the high standard of cleanliness important for a safe, visually appealing environment. Duties include keeping walkways and park facilities clean, setup for special events, and small construction jobs. These outdoor positions require continuous walking, bending, stooping, lifting, moving, and a tolerance for the sun. Individuals who are self-motivated and understand the importance of cleanliness, take pride in their work, and enjoy being outdoors are encouraged to apply.

 |  |  | | | LIFEGUARDS -
Responsibilities include observing guests in all aquatic attractions. Candidates must be in good physical condition with normal hearing, correctable vision, be able to stand for long periods of time, and be tolerant of sun and heat. All Lifeguard candidates must be certified in the following American Red Cross programs: Lifeguard Training, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, AED, O2, BBP, and Lifeguard Training Waterpark Module. The American Red Cross requires that candidates must be 15 years of age before they may take their certification courses. Courses are available at the OCARC (www.OC-RedCross.Org). Wild Rivers Waterpark also offers these courses to assist you with obtaining these certificates. There will be an additional course fee for American Red Cross Lifeguard certifications. Lifeguards must also go through a WILD RIVERS WATERPARK Lifeguard tryout.
RIDE ATTENDANTS - Responsibilities include working on all water attractions, making sure guests are aware of the safety rules before entering the slide. These positions require individuals who have the ability to communicate well with the public, in a positive, friendly manner. These are outdoor positions that require standing for long periods of time. Individuals must be tolerant of heat and the sun. Those persons with outgoing personalities and strong public relations skills are encouraged to apply. All Ride Attendants must be certified in Community First Aid and Safety and Community CPR by the American Red Cross or other equivalent agency. Courses are available at the OCARC (www.OC-RedCross.Org). Wild Rivers Waterpark also offers these courses to assist you with obtaining these certificates. There will be an additional course fee for American Red Cross certifications. Effective for the 2006 season, the age requirement for Ride Attendants will be at least 16 years of age.
